When The Light Gets Too Strong. Sitting awake in your bedroom at night. You listen for the train, it comes moaning, And the light gets to strong, Whoa, the light gets too strong. We all know how it is, you disappear when the light gets too strong. Packing your bags, closing the door. Quiet down the stairs, and into the night where the light gets too strong. Whoa, the light gets too strong. We all know how it is, you can't hear us when the light gets too strong. And Grandma's in the hospital bed, Can you say something that's gonna rest her head? If a V8 Ford is what you can find, you should have been here when the light got that strong. When the light got that strong. Whoa, the light gets too strong. We all know how it is, you disappear when the light gets too strong.

On The Air 02:57
On The Air If this poetry turns to metal And it stands on it's own against the wind. Would you grant me that full acquittal, Would you let me stand apart from it? 'Cause I toss and I turn, and just like you, My losses will find their winnings again. That's the deal. That's the only way it's fair. That's why, it's work to care. All the terrors that walk in nightmares, All the beasts in the bushes will stand and smile. 'Cause they see how they're made of sunlight, And they see that they've known it all the while. And now they see you, and they know you never lied. Because you're standing, and your shadow stands inside, And when you step foot it's all one perfect stride. On the air. I want to tell you all that I can. I want you to know sometimes, I think of that.

John Cage And The Age Of Theatre. She was walking through, All the doors she grew into. She was walking them just like the beach. In a house with floors, That go backwards and forwards, There's a place that's just out of reach. Is there time for bliss, when we won't be missed, and there's no time left to leave? Will the moon be full, will our hearts still pull, when there's no time left to leave? Is this what I meant, with my wildflowers bent, From running to you out in the sun? Or am I at your gate, with a big parade, Of nothing that you think is fun? Does your heart still zoom At the thought of blooming stars in your vision? Or am I in your face, with a big parade, of nothing that you think is fun? John Cage, in the the age of theatre. I've got your best John Cage, In the age of theatre. From behind the stage, with your eyebrows raised, You just couldn't meet the crowd. But when the play is done, And it's had it's run, you just might get up and take a bow.

Once You Were A Girl All the equations in Venice are a menace to you. When they try to adorn you in blues, But you don't write a word unless it's to be seen Inside a cupboard. Dancing on the stones that always lead you home. Loving everyone that helps you keep you warm. The darkness is where you keep The good things that you know. A silent record of your point of view. You could call it stage direction of very small, but interesting theatre. Dancing on the stones that always lead you home. Loving everyone that helps you keep you warm. Dancing on the stones that always lead you home. Loving everyone who keeps you on your own. Loving everyone that helps you keep you warm. Loving everyone who helps you keeps you warm. Once you were a girl. Full of, your little worlds. All the solutions you've shown me Still sticking like glue. But I've got to get out of the night. I can't wait inside dreams for the light, When the shadow figures are ugly. Once I, was a boy. My instincts, were all employed. And once you were a girl.

Winds Of Change Winds of change, they rearrange your soul. And in thoughts they unfold, Into what your life becomes. Repeatedly standing at the shore, You click your heels, And want some more of what they bring forth. And in darkness they light the fuse. The only one that you can use. The only one that will explode. Winds of change, they follow you back home down the road, And invite themselves into your home. Repeatedly standing at the shore, You let them push you around, in your hometown, and what for? Because discipline wants you on her side. But she forgets that you get wilder, and wilder all the time. And she says that if you go and light that match. You'll loose yourself inside a different batch of brew. And all of that's not you, You don't loose yourself in anything, But all the things that you could choose. With shadows moving in your blood, You can dance, you dance better than anyone. And winds of change they feel at home. On your sofa now they sleep alone. You let them stay, and free of charge, You're marching to their drums.
